Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav: To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the state government will name 75 state highway buses after freedom fighters. In addition, bus stops will be named after freedom fighters. The government will add two buses to the fleet in each of the 75 districts on Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav, which will be decorated with tricolour patterns.
With Independent India turning 75 this year on August 15, Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to celebrate the occasion with zeal. Preparations for the grand celebration of the special day are well underway. As part of Independence Week, Har Ghar Tiranga and other events are being held (11-17 August).
The cultural extravaganza planned for the state’s Independence Day celebrations will be a melting pot of the state’s cultural, social, and geographical diversity. Several events are planned as part of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
The national flag will be raised for the first time at the newly constructed ‘Gram Sachivalayas’ (Village Secretariats) in the state’s 58,189 Gram Panchayats. Flag hoisting will also take place on August 15 at 7,500 Amrit Sarovar, and district administrations have already begun making preparations.
In addition, two buses will be added to the fleet in each of the 75 districts. These buses will be emblazoned with tricolour patterns. The UP State Transport Corporation will name 75 roadway buses after freedom fighters. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation’s preparations in this regard are well underway. Along with roads, buses and bus stops will be recognised. Buses, like highways, will be named after freedom fighters. Similarly, bus stops will be named after freedom fighters.
The Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav Mini Marathon will be held across the state’s 75 districts as part of a series of events commemorating the state’s 75th anniversary of independence.
In Front Of Vidhan Bhavan Ceremony
Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav highlights will be the invitation of 75 people from each section, representing various cultures and regions. This will include folk artists, tribal groups, and various communities who will dress in traditional attire to represent Uttar Pradesh’s diverse culture. In total, 75 people from 75 different groups will represent the state’s wealth.
This event will also include participants from 16 trades, including BC Sakhis, factory workers, farmers, and Anganwadi workers, among others.
Each Gram Panchayat Will Have 75 Plants Planted
On Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav, 75 saplings will be planted in each gramme panchayat of the state to commemorate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Varsh.’ During the plantation drive, indigenous plants such as Banyan, Peepal, Pakad, Neem, Bael, Amla, Mango, Jackfruit, and Drumstick will be prioritised.
In State Har Ghar Tiranga Drive
To make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme, which will take place from August 13 to 15, as part of Independence Week (August 11 to 17), a total of 4.76 crore houses and 50 lakh government and non-government offices in Uttar Pradesh will be draped in tricolour On Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav
The Event Is Called ‘EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT’
The event, themed ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and customs to the public. The event will also feature presentations on the history and tourist attractions of Uttar Pradesh, as well as the Yogi Adityanath government’s action plan for the “New Uttar Pradesh of New India.”
