Shah Rukh Khan’s film actress became a nurse in a Mumbai hospital

Shikha Malhotra, who has worked in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Fan, has been acting as a Voluntary Nurse for almost a month and has been serving the Corona patients free of charge in a hospital in Mumbai. The ‘Niti Aayog’ issued a tweet praising it.

NITI Aayog shared a picture of Shikha Malhotra from her Twitter account and Instagram ID, writing that “Shikha Malhotra’s selfless service as a volunteer is conveying new hope, self-power and goodness in the Corona epidemic”.
This is the second message of appreciation from a government institution, before this, on March 30, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, with its twitter handle, praised Shikha Malhotra for this noble cause.

Shikha Malhotra has been working as a nursing officer in the Corona Isolation Ward of the Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari, Mumbai since last 27 March. Shikha said during the conversation that the tweet messages from “NITI Aayog” and “CMO Maharashtra” will give me strength and I will continue to contribute in defeating Corona at the earliest! Explaining further, she said that ’30 corona-affected patients have returned to their homes yesterday after recovering fully from our hospital’!

Shikha Malhotra is originally an actress and after studying B.Sc (Hons) Nursing from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, she made Mumbai Mayanagari her work place and after playing supporting roles in Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ and Shoojit Sarkar’s ‘Running Shaadi’ films, She did a film named Kaanchli in lead opposite Sanjay Mishra, the film was  was successfully released at the Indian box office on 7 February this year.
