This resounding endorsement comes on the heels of India’s successful hosting of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, which drew acclaim from leaders worldwide. The summit’s New Delhi Declaration, adopted unanimously with full consensus, notably brought global powers together on the contentious issue of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Switzerland’s President Alain Berset and Mexico’s Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador also received favorable ratings in the survey, with 64 percent and 61 percent approval, respectively.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to social media to highlight these impressive results, emphasizing the global recognition of PM Modi’s unwavering commitment to poverty alleviation and improving living standards.

In comparison, US President Joe Biden garnered a 40 percent approval rating, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak received 37 percent and 27 percent approval, respectively. France President Emmanuel Macron lagged behind with a mere 24 percent rating.

Morning Consult’s latest approval ratings were based on data collected from September 6 to 12. The firm employed a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country, with varying sample sizes. Notably, the United States boasted an average sample size of around 45,000, while other countries ranged from 500 to 5,000 respondents.

As a symbol of India’s commitment to international economic cooperation, PM Modi passed the G20 Summit gavel to Brazilian President Lula da Silva and proposed a virtual G20 session in November to review suggestions and proposals made at the prestigious forum.

Prime Minister Modi’s continued high approval ratings reflect not only his leadership’s success but also the global trust placed in his vision and dedication to improving the lives of millions.
