In a candid interview with Zoom, Nora reflected on her journey, recalling the valuable advice she received along the way, both good and bad. However, the actress courageously revealed that she chose not to heed certain suggestions that could have altered her path to success.
During her early days in the industry, Nora Fatehi was constantly advised to date specific people for publicity and PR purposes, including fellow actors. However, she resolutely decided to disregard this advice. The actress shared, “I never listened to any of that, and I’m so glad because now I make the rules, and I work on my own terms.” Nora proudly asserted that her success is solely attributed to her individual talent and hard work, without relying on any association with male counterparts. She firmly stated that everyone else is merely a positive addition to her journey, but not the reason behind her accomplishments.
In addition to resisting the pressure to date for PR, Nora Fatehi revealed that she defied other counsel as well. After her appearance on the reality show Bigg Boss 9, she was advised to stay away from participating in reality shows altogether. However, Nora refused to let these opinions define her path. She shared, “A lot of things I didn’t listen to and a lot of them are the reasons why I am who I am today.”
Another piece of advice Nora Fatehi chose to ignore was to refrain from doing songs, particularly after the success of her iconic song “Dilbar.” Furthermore, when she expressed her desire to explore international markets alongside her Bollywood career, she was discouraged and told to focus on one thing only. However, Nora followed her instincts and pursued both avenues, leading to tremendous success in both the Indian and international entertainment arenas.
Throughout her career, Nora has demonstrated her versatility and fearlessness by participating in reality shows like Bigg Boss 9 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 as a contestant, and later as a judge on Dance Deewane Juniors, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, and the upcoming Hip Hop India.
