Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at eight o’clock tonight. It is believed that the Prime Minister can make an announcement to give relaxation or increase it in the ongoing lockdown in the country. The Prime Minister is going to address the country at a time when he had spoken to the Chief Ministers of all the states and union territories a day earlier.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a conversation with all Chief Ministers on Monday, through video conferencing, emphasized on starting economic activities by giving the slogan ‘Jan Se Jag’. He also urged the states to devise a strategy to not allow the transition villages to reach.
He said that the need is to move forward with a balanced strategy and pave the way to meet the challenges. Meanwhile, five states have sought to extend the lockdown even after May 17. While Gujarat opposed it. Rajasthan and Kerala advocated more powers for states to take more decisions in lockdown.
During the discussion, Bihar, Punjab, Telangana, West Bengal and Maharashtra supported the extension of the lockdown, while West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Telangana opposed running trains from May 12. Rajasthan said – states should get the right to decide red, green and orange zones. While Kerala demanded freedom to make appropriate changes in the guidelines related to the lockdown.
Lockdown 4.0 may apply in the country
The lockdown may continue after 17 May. However, further discounts can be found in the fourth phase. This is indicated by PM Modi’s statement in the meeting. He said that I firmly believe that the rules which were required in the first phase of lockdown were not necessary in the second phase. Similarly, the third phase rules are not required in the fourth phase lockdown.
