Within 12 hours of the government banning, TikTok, the most popular app in India, has been removed from Google Play-Store and Apple Store. On this ban, TikTok India has tweeted that the ban imposed by the government is temporary and they are talking with the government on this issue.
Nikhil Gandhi, the head of Tiktok India, said, ‘The government has imposed an interim ban on 59 apps, including Tiktok. We are going to talk to the government soon for this ban. TikTok is committed to protecting data and privacy as usual. We do not share the data of Indian users with the Chinese or any other government.

Searching TikTok on Google Play Store and Apple Store, many clone app links are available. Google India has also not released any official statement regarding the removal of TikTok, while out of the 59 apps banned, apps like CamScanner, UC Browser, Shareit, WeChat and Clash of Kings still exist on the Play Store and App Store . No timeline has been revealed regarding their removal.
