The elder brother of the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, and the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) joint secretary Snehasish Ganguly have been found corona positive. Sourav Ganguly and CAB President Abhishek Dalmia have quarantined themselves at home in the wake of the protocol after Snehasish was infected with Corona. Due to the increasing cases of Corona, Ganguly was handling the BCCI from his office located near his residence.
Giving information about Snehasish’s health, Dalmiya issued a statement through the cab and said that it is a difficult time. Snehasish has admitted himself to the city hospital. He has mild fever but is stable at the moment. We wish him a speedy recovery. I have decided to keep myself in quarantine at home for a few days under the required protocol. In response to a question, he said that yes I will also stay in home quarantine for a few days. During the meeting held in Lal Bazar with the police officers, only I was present from the Union. Snehasish Ganguly was present during the press conference at the Eden Gardens.
However, the corona test of Ganguly and Dalmiya will not be conducted yet. Under the protocol, it is mandatory to have a test when symptoms appear. Dalmiya said that it has been decided to keep the cab office at Eden Gardens closed indefinitely until further orders. It is noteworthy that Sourav Ganguly celebrated his birthday on 8 July and Snehashish Ganguly was also present on the occasion along with other family members. In such a situation, the possibility of other family members suffering from this infection cannot be ruled out.
