In Bollywood, age is just a number. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are. If you have got buckets full of talent, the doors are wide open. Though every actor in the industry comes with a finite stay, age, by many, is a major full stop. In the new age of cinema, with supernumerary acting avenues opening up, we find the struggling actor is wrangling no more.
Sanjeev Pandey is confident about things working out for him. And while he still feels there will be some struggle, he is hopeful. “I am not looking at myself as a mainstream actor. I am willing to take up parallel leads as well to acclimatize myself to the industry,” he adds.
There was a time when the word ‘struggling’ was synonymous with ‘going all out’ or even ‘disappointment’, but in the new age of cinema, actors may not hesitate to leave behind their degrees, diplomas or even dwellings to head to Maximum City for their shot, or even a 10 second role on the big screen.
Being a theatre artist from Kolkata, he came to Mumbai well trained and with enormous confidence. Initially he worked in Serials like Crime Patrol, Savdhan india etc. Then gradually he made his mark with King Bessus in Mega Seial PORUS. Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Ganesha, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, Ram Siya ke Luv kush, Salman Khan production webseries SOT etc
Suddenly he was in limelight with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s role in National Geographic channels show Mega Icons. And Sanjeev Pandey is happy to say that his episode of Dr. Kalam bagged Indian television academy award.
His first movie was SCOTLAND which was nominated in OSCAR’S with more 70 international awards, which was released by Shemaroo app on 7th August. His role of Dr. Pradhan has been appreciated by critics.
And his Second and first big budget movie is The Big Bull starring Abhishek Bacchan under Ajay Devgn Production.
