‘Gully Boy’ star Vijay Varma is considered one of the most promising and best actor in the Hindi film industry today. Vijay plays his characters very honestly. His performance in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s show Shea was appreciated by all.
Returning to the screen once again, Vijay Varma is in the news for his performance in Ranjan Chandel’s Bamfaad, in which he plays the lead.
In this film, the talented actor plays a local goon named Jigar Faridi, who has an identity in politics.
Due to the lockdown, the makers of ‘Bamfaad’ decided to digitally release the film and it is now streaming on Zee 5. This is a love story based in Allahabad, which is presented by Anurag Kashyap.
Praising Vijay Verma’s performance in the film, Anurag Kashyap said, “Vijay and I started a career together with films like ‘Chittagong’ and ‘Monsoon Shootout’, in which he was the lead actor and I was the producer.” When I saw the first cut of the Bamfaad, I immediately called Vijay and told him that a new aspect has emerged in this role. I think this is a great way for an actor to play a character. When Jigar Faridi comes on screen, you feel the power of that character.
Enjoying the heights of his career, Vijay is happy that he is able to entertain the audience even during lockdown and keep his mood light with his release. Apart from Anurag Kashyap, filmmakers Imtiaz Ali and Meera Nair are also heavily influenced by Varma’s acting. Nair recently wrote on social media for the actor, “Here your flame is spreading to Hollywood Bhaijaan.”
