On Thursday, August 11, PM Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with young girls at his residence.

PM Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the daughters of PMO employees, including sweepers, peons, gardeners, and drivers, on this special occasion.

Girls were seen tying beautiful rakhis to the prime minister in a video shared by the PMO.

PM Modi captioned the photos on Twitter, “A very special Raksha Bandhan with these youngsters…”

PM Narendra Modi expressed his best wishes on the occasion. PM Modi tweeted in the morning, “Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan.”

Rakha Bandhan is observed during the month of Shravana on the full moon day or Purnima. The festival will be held on August 11 this year.

PM Narendra Modi also presented the youngsters with the National Flag. PM Modi stated in a video shared on Twitter, “Every Indian has an affinity for the Tiranga. Earlier today, I gave the Tiranga to my young friends. The expressions on their faces say it all!”

PM Narendra Modi has urged people to hoist or display the national flag during the 75th anniversary of India’s independence on August 13-15 as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
