PM Modi launches ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge’, winner will get 20 lakhs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge’ on 4 July  to help local developers build indigenous apps. Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge has been launched in joint partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Atal Innovation Mission-Niti Aayog. In ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Challenge’, people will have to develop popular applications such as People Connecting App, Mobile Games, and Photo Editing Apps.

Let us tell you that under this challenge, the winner will be awarded a maximum reward of up to Rs 20 lakh.
PM Modi shared the information about the launch of the Challenge on his official Twitter account.

This innovation challenge has been chanted as ‘Make in India for India and the World’, and is intended to inspire people to develop Make in India apps.

The renewal challenge aims to encourage the tech and startup communities to create world-class Made in India apps. As part of the challenge, innovators have been invited to develop applications in eight categories.

What is Self-reliant India App Innovation Challenge:
Challenge launched by the Ministry of Electronics & IT and Atal Innovation Mission-NITI Aayog to identify the best Indian app being used by citizens and to make their own app a world-class identity.

Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge is divided into 8 categories.
• Social Networking
• Office Productivity & Work From Home
• E-Learning
• Health & Wellness
• Entertainment
• News
• Business including Fintech and Agritech
• Games

The decision to launch the app innovation challenge can be seen in light of India’s recent ban on 59 Chinese apps that included well-known apps like UC Browser and Tik Tok.

The app innovation challenge is not only in the direction of a digital India but is self-sufficient to sustain itself in all areas.
