PM Modi has urged Indians to fly the tricolour from their homes on August 13th and 15th to commemorate the country’s 75th anniversary of independence.
PM Modi previously stated in a tweet, “This year, as we celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, let us strengthen the Har Ghar Tiranga Movement.” Between the 13th and 15th of August, hoist the Tricolor or display it in your home. This movement will strengthen our bond with the national flag.

PM Modi launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign last month to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence. The initiative’s goal is to instil a sense of patriotism in people and to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, according to the Ministry of Culture.
What exactly is the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav?
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a government of India initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence, as well as the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India, who have not only been instrumental in bringing India this far in its evolutionary journey, but also possess the power and potential to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
