Nihar Thackeray Nephew of Uddhav Thackeray Meets Eknath Shinde Pledges Support: Uddhav Thackeray, who is fighting to keep the Shiv Sena together after losing his position as Maharashtra’s chief minister, experienced another blow in terms of political perception on Friday, though with some riders. Nihar Thackeray, his nephew who hasn’t been very active in politics so far, met with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the dissident Sena leader who’s been claiming the heritage of party founder Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray’s father, and offered his support.
About Nihar Thackeray
Bindumadhav Thackeray, the father of Nihar Thackeray, was the oldest of Bal Thackeray’s three sons; the other two were Jaidev Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray. He passed away in a car accident in 1996. He wasn’t involved in politics; he was a film producer. Furthermore, it is solely believed that his son’s encounter with Eknath Shinde at this time is meaningful. Recently, Smita Thackeray, the ex-wife of Jaidev Thackeray, also had a meeting with CM Shinde.
Last December, lawyer Nihar Thackeray wed Ankita Patil, the daughter of BJP politician Harshvardhan Patil. Former Congress leader Harshvardhan Patil served as a minister for a number of years.
Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde was accused of striking Uddhav Thackeray earlier this week while the latter was ill in the hospital and hardly able to move. He compared the rebels to “rotten leaves” of a tree that needed to be removed to make room for fresh leaves in an interview with his party publication “Saamna.”
“There is no longer a Chief Minister under my government, but I have no regrets. But it turned out that my own folks were traitors. When I was recuperating from surgery, they were attempting to overthrow my government “stated Uddhav Thackeray. In response to Team Shinde’s allegations, he declared that his Shiv Sena would triumph in the legal and political arenas.
