Coronavirus Pandemic: Shahrukh Khan assisted 25,000 PPE kit for healthcare workers

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday provided 25,000 PPE kits to front-line medical staff in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Rajesh Tope said the actor’s contribution would help health workers fight Covid-19 Pandemic.

Thanking Shahrukh on the tweet, he wrote that “Many thanks Mr. Shahrukh Khan for the contribution of 25,000 PPE kit”. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID-19 and protecting our front-line medical care team.

The actor wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Thank you for your help to source the kits. We are all engaged in this effort to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad your family and team are safe and sound. ”

Earlier it was announced that Shah Rukh’s NGO Mir Foundation would work with the governments of Maharashtra and West Bengal to supply 50,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) for health professionals.

Recently, the actor, along with wife Gauri Khan, offered his four-story personal office space to treat patients during Covid-19 Pandemic.

The 54-year-old superstar had earlier announced various initiatives to help the country during the crisis.
