While India’s battle with the coronovirus epidemic continues, celebrities from various film industries are trying their best to help the government. Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently contributed Rs 25 crore to the PM Cars Fund so that the government can move forward in its fight to stop the virus.
Star has donated an amount of Rs 3 crore to BMC to help them make PPE, masks and rapid testing kits, which are already needed in greater numbers to protect health workers from the disease. And COVID-19 requires more kits to test more and more people.
In addition, Akki will also be seen hosting a virtual music concert to be held to support the PM Cares Fund. Singers like Asha Bhosle, SP Balasubramaniam, Udit Narayan, Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Kailash Kher and other popular singers will join it from April 10 to April 12 to pay tribute to the COVID-19 warriors.
